I'll have to figure out how to do that, I have no clue about anything about vpn's The next problem will be if you really use tethering a lot, tmo will flag you and you will have to use a VPN to avoid getting the tethering detected. So I would need unlimited data if I want unlimited hotspot Yes, the hotspot data use will show up in your data total. I don't want to lose what i use for hotspot though. Right now I have the unlimited lte pan, and I use over 300gb a month, and it shows on my data plan. My question is, can I only use as much hotspot as I have for data? Like if i only get 5gb of lte a month, is that all I can use? Hacked hotspot question I have a hacked factory hotspot on my s4, and what I was wondering, i know it basically bypasses the hotspot plan and shows up in data instead. these are the same settings that unbranded/unlocked phones come with, so i would assume you're fine but no guarantees I've always used unbranded phones so i dont know. Is att able to see that you are tethering with this tweak? I rarely if ever use it for actual data but will use it regularly for mirroring to the chromecast Must have typed a command wrong because I tried it again and I am go to go on hotspot mode. works fine on my unlimited grandfathered plan My post here details exactly how to do it. I would not actually be sharing any data usage to the chromecast in my application. I don't even need the data shared itself, I just need to be able to create a wifi hotspot that my chromecast can connect directly to so that I can mirror my phone screen in my truck. it's included in your plan were on Verizon it's not.Īnyone have working wifi hotspot with AT&T and UNLIMITED data? As the title states, is there a method that is working on AT&T H810 phones yet to enable wifi hotspot, either with or without root, on an unlimited data plan? I have seen a few methods for other carriers and for NON unlimited data plans, but unlimited seems to be SOL.

When I activate hotspot, it installs a certificate, attempts to turn the Hotspot on, then goes into a loop of certificate install, attempt to turn on, repeat.

There's no charge to use a hotspot on T-Mobile. Gotta love.I'd so be with AT&T if they actually had service in my office. Verizon charges extra to use a hotspot on the grandfathered unlimited data plan. 2 Phones arriving tomorrow, but without tethering they will have to get returned.Ĭan you not just use Android's built in hotspot?
